Bonesnappa was born of the frozen north, one of the many unfortunate consequences of war. Soon abandoned by both parents after birth Bonesnappa learned to scavenge whatever he could find before he could even walk. Death and pain were his constant companions as he shadowed both the Orc horde and the Human defenders from battlefield to battlefield scrounging for leftover rations and water skins until he stumbled upon a rare temple in the Dragonspire Mountains. High within the majestic Dragonspire Mountains came a sound completely unlike the horrific sounds of war. Bonesnappa for the first time heard the soft serene sound of music, of bells, and gongs, and chanting. For within the mountains lay the Temple of the Draconian Phoenix. Enchanted by such sounds it was only natural for Bonesnappa to go and investigate. Higher and higher the little half-orc did climb, and the climb was long and arduous. But once at the top where the temple laid, Bonesnappa saw a great sight, a large spanning peach orchard with deliciously sweet peaches coming into ripeness. Of course Bonesnappa was hungry and decided to help himself to the sweet peaches. However the monks tending the orchard thought otherwise and soon started to give the poor half-orc a sound thrashing. Luckily the head abbot, Abbot Hong, took pity on the poor half-orc child and decided to save him and soon brought him into the temple despite protest from other monks. Bonesnappa soon took to all the training and chores assigned to him diligently. Some were better than others. He was first assigned to tend the goats, until several goats were broken in half. He was then assigned to sweep the temple floors, until many more brooms were broken in half. Finally the head abbot got him carrying the big buckets of water up the stairs to the temple with great success. The only thing that was forbidden for Bonesnappa to do was spar or participates in tournaments despite the temple’s well-known martial nature and Bonesnappa natural affinity to their training. One day however, the other monks that still held a grudge towards Bonesnappa’s half-orc nature decided to frame him in the spring marital tournament. They, quite easily, convinced Bonesnappa that one of the visiting tournament fighter was a very bad man and the head abbot wanted Bonesnappa to fight him. The fight quickly ended in the death of the visiting fighter. Everyone was outraged, and said the Half-Orc has gone mad. The Head Abbot’s hands were tied and Bonesnappa was devastated that he was the bad man in the end and he quickly ran away never to see his beloved temple and the Abbot whom had been so kind to him.
