NestleNook

Transcribed from A Geographic History of Mithrilan VOL. IV by Leopold Von Ranke.

NestleNook, also sometimes referred to as Gnome’s Hollow, or, as King Lasiter famously called it in his address to the Under Dwarves during the Council of Reorke, “Sanity’s Bane,” is the largest known community of Gnomes in existence and could be thought of as the capitol of the Gnomes if they indeed had such a thing. A Gnome will tell you that it sits on a fair sized plain but in fact it is in a rather quaint glade where larger hills become quite small. NestleNook is surrounded on three sides by Wimpanwani Creek which trickles down from various springs in the Dragon Spine Mountains. Due to the topography the only crossing for many miles is a small but wide dam located here. The surrounding area is largely unpopulated with the exception of the occasional Gnome hamlet. The hills throughout and near NestleNook are more than just convenient tenant spaces for the Gnomes as it is one of the most gem infused regions in the Kingdom. Some gems, such as Arbetrite which is used by gemcutters in the cutting of most other gems, are found nowhere else. Weather in this region is suited for travel nearly year around. Though there is no formal lodging to be found Gnome hospitality is well known – amongst the brave.
